The definition of a Cinemagraph by creator Kevin Burg is 'an image that contains within itself a living moment that allows a glimpse of time to be experienced and preserved endlessly.' Simply put part of an image moves whilst the rest of the image stays still. A wide range of subjects have been covered over on the Cinemagraph website, from Fashion to Food.
