I buy Fairtrade when ever I can - bananas/chocolate/tea/coffee and clothes. Have also started buying from Visionary soaps/Oxfam for presents etc. I would love to do more - but like for many finances are tight - but we must all try and do what we can.

I'm going to carry on as I did last year and look round for Fairtrade goods where possible. The way I see it, the more fair trade opportunity producers have, the better they do in countries invloved and less charity they need..which is sensible and good for everyone.

I'm going to South Africa in April with ICS, and volunteering in rural communities and seeing farmers grow fairtrade products and how the enhancement of buying fairtrade can improve living standards and provide basic facilities for health and enconomic growth within the country, I'm also working on projects with football developing furthering the awareness of health issues and live skills, also be assisting teaching in schools and building livelihoods for a safer and brighter furture. This experience is going to be life-changing and I recommend anyone to do it! I value all support and sponsorship to go towards the programme, media participation...camera crews from premier league will be following us to broadcast how poverty can be improved by education and many more ways.

My 10 year old daughter Charlotte had a school project where she had to research and design a poster on a worthy cause or charity, I told her a little bit about fairtrade. So she look at the fairtradeuk website and she spent all of last sunday researching them and making the poster, her teacher was so impressed with it she decided that the whole class were to do a sub- project on fairtradeuk, so in making the poster the whole class of 30 ten year olds have learnt a lot about fairtrade and hopefully they would have educated there parents a little too
