I have been buying Fairtrade for a long time. It's great to see any new initiative which raises the profile of Fairtrade. It is our duty, as decent human beings to ensure that we treat all other human beings fairly and ensure they get decent working conditions and a fair days pay for a fair days work!
Lots of people think this is about food and that's a good start for some, but look for other products such as cotton or beauty products - even for men.

I have bought fairtrade products in the past, but I plan to buy more - and spread the word about their importance. A fairtrade cup of tea with a bar of fairtrade chocolate... Delish! To me, it tastes nicer if you know that it was made fairtrade...

My brother has just bought his first house and my dad and I are in the process of renovating it and are going to look for as many fairtrade furnishings as we can for it. And while doing the work, I've been making sure my chocolatey snacks have been fairtrade:)

I've started asking any supermarket staff I see around the store whethere they have a fair trade section.
I hope that at their next staff meeting one of them might say 'I keep being asked about a fair trade section' and the others might all join in and say 'yes, we've been asked too'.
If nothing else, it will keep the fair trade issue in the front of their minds.

The good thing about the Fairtrade logo is that it is easy to spot, so now when I shop in the Co-op, I can easily choose Fairtrade products over the others.

Fairtrade means a hell of a lot to me, as I believe that people should get paid fairly for the hard work they do.
I have taken many steps to make a difference and I'm gonna mention a few. At my school (I'm on the charity committee) I help sell Fairtrade food almost every fortnight ranging from chocolates to even fruit, as well as this I have spread the word online and off talking to my mates about the importance of buying Fairtrade and it is worth the extra pennies and not forgetting I have brought and pestered my parents to buy Fairtrade food for our home from chocolate to fruit, healthy right! ;) Oh and I even baked some fairtrade cookies, which are also very healthy indeed!
I've taken alot of steps before 2012 to fundraise for Fairtrade and that will definitely continue and grow larger this year!
